Situation

Business Sense have been managing NMC (UK) LIMITED’s energy portfolio since 2018. Following market trends in Q1 & 2 2021, we alerted the management team that the wholesale market price was highly likely to significantly increase over the next 12 months. 

Solution

We strongly advised NMC management to agree to renew their energy contracts 18 months prior to their existing contract end dates. 

Result

In August 2021, NMC (UK) Ltd  agreed and Business Sense arranged for their upcoming energy contracts to be put in place in readiness for the contract renewal in 18 months’ time. 

NMC (UK) LIMITED’s forecast saving is £624,000 over the next three years, and can now benefit from having contracts in place to ensure the high costs of wholesale gas energy does not affect their UK operations.
